HERide Co-founders Jillian Anderson and DeVynne Starks Secure Contract with Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport

HERide, a ridesharing platform focused on women's safety, has become the first Black-owned company to secure a contract with Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport. Co-founder Jillian Anderson, inspired by her experiences as a rideshare driver, identified a need for a safer option for female passengers who often expressed hesitation about riding with men, particularly at night. Launched in 2019, HERide currently operates in Atlanta and Athens, Georgia. The company prioritizes safety by requiring drivers to undergo comprehensive background checks after a personal vetting process. Additionally, HERide offers drivers competitive compensation, with drivers retaining 80% of the fare.
